Konsert Imuniti AF9 (ke-8)

Seperti yang anda semua tahu, minggu ini merupakan minggu yang menentukan siapakah pelajar Akademi Fantasia yang akan meraih imuniti yang telah diperkenalkan sejak konsert ke-6 yang lalu. Imuniti yang akan diberi ini dinilai berdasarkan 50% undian pengundi, dan 50% lagi dari para pengkritik dari minggu lalu, iaitu minggu ke-7. 

Apakah ganjaran imuniti ini? Pelajar yang akan mendapat imuniti akan terus dihantar ke peringkat final AF9, tanpa perlu melalui konsert seterusnya, iaitu konsert ke-9. Peluang yang lumayan. Bukan senang ok nak smp final.

Ok. berbalik kepada konsert minggu kelapan ini, diamana para pelajar telah diberikan amanat untuk menggunakan daya kreativiti masing-masing sebanyak 100% dalam setiap persembahan. Peluang baik untuk mereka cipta persembahan sendiri, tetapi ini sekali lagi terpulang kepada para pelajar sekalian. Lagu-lagu yang akan disampaikan pada minggu kelapan ini pula adalah dari pilihan pendengar Radio ERA dan pelayar laman web Murai.com.

Erul - Bunga Angkasa (Terra Rossa)
Melihat kepada persembahan Erul pada minggu ini, saya dapat mengkonklusikan bahawa Erul ini mempunyai low creativity level. Apa yang diinginkan beliau adalah supaya adanya cermin, spotlight, meskipun baju pun dipilihnya sendiri, iaitu smart casual bak kata beliau (lagi Korean style, ermmm), namun tidak menunjukkan apa2 kelainan pun bagi saya sebagai peminat. Penerangan beliau terhadap lagu dan cara penyampaian amat tidak relevan langsung. Beliau menjelaskan bahawa lagu tersebut adalah seperti beliau menggambarkan beliau adalah orang bunian yang cuba untuk mendalami erti cinta!? Suara Erul nampak amat tertekan, motif nak jerit-jerit dan buat muka sengsara semacam. Mana efek cermin n spotlight kau tak nampak pun!? Merepek.

Lena - Kisah Hati (Alyah)
Idea yang murni, duduk di kelilingi kelopak ros putih, menyanyi sambil berjalan dan berdiri sambil focus on camera. Beliau menerangkan lagu tersebut menceritakan seorang pengantin yang tak kesampaian. Pada minggu ini, Pak Nil telah mempersoalkan kewujudan lelaki misteri yang selalu berlegar-legar di kawasan rumah kaca. Lena dengan memakai dress putih, dan suaranya yang asyik (ok lah tu)...kelopak bunga ros pun bertaburan di atas lantai, daya kreativiti yang tidak digunakan (i mean just the roses on the floor, with her voice and her bling2 dress??) mood lagu yang agresif (bak kata Ogy), tidak spt lagu itu yg spatutnya menayangkan kesedihan sekiranya betul lah pengantin itu tidak sampai kahwin. Selepas selesai dengan persembahan, ada lah pula si Pak Nil menyakat Lena dengan panggilan dari lelaki misteri itu, yang bernama Azman, mengharapkan yang terbaik untuk Lena dan dia tiada lagi d rumah kaca sbb mlanjutkn pljrn.ha3

Sejak bila jd trend dia!? Dengan leather jacket dan black eyeshadow!? n lagu = what's the point!? not relevant for me, it's out...beliau pun sempat lg ckp bhw beliau xnak dgr para pengkritik mengkritik body movement beliau...

Scotty wins AI10

OMG! It was a tough fight seeing both of the most celebrated stars are born tonight in American Idol (AI).

I myself has been a good fan of AI, and this year it has been such an anniversary where it has been ten(10) years since it has been first established.

Looking back from the first premiere of AI10, i cannot enjoy much of those since I was away back in Shah Alam, and I just haven't any television to watch and my broadband line are too slow even to watch it online, so i took most alternative whenever i have the chance to update myself of what is happening in AI10 since January 2011...


Honestly, there are some contestants which I like earlier on; Stefano, Naima, Thia, James, to name a few...but sadly tey have to went off early from the competition despite the low votes they had received from fans all over America...

Again, the judges and us will have much words to say, but only votes count for this competition! 

Watching the finale show of tonight's, I was pretty amazed and shocked of what the contestants has been given all out just for the sake of giving pleasure and entertainment for fellow audiences and fans. Some guest performers also has been a complete package of tonight's most anticipated programme. Such guest artists includes my most favorite artists of this year, Lady Gaga...,Beyonce who has just won the Billboard's Millenium Awards on May 22..., and the judges of Idol itself, Jennifer Lopez who dances wildly with his lover Marc Anthony.., and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler. All of them also has been entertaining all the audiences with glee.

Scotty McCreery, is just 17 years old, and it has been a pretty wild experience for him as to win this competition, and also as the first country musician to win the Idol title since Carrie Underwood in 2005. Scotty is just known for his distinctive deep voice.


FYI, the competition between Scotty and Lauren (16), is the youngest Top2 Match-Up in the show's 10 year history! What a surprise, good job for the those who just left school, for good! haha

Scotty upon leaving school is a former grocery store clerk from North Carolina. And on winning this he said "...this is more than I bargained for coming into this". But he promised that he will handle it well, and this is a new life for him, for sure, a good beginning of a great career!

"I Love You This Big", Scotty's newly-released single went straight to top of iTunes singles charts, while Lauren's emotional ballad "Like My Mother Does: was at No.3 on Thursday (26.05.2011). Recent "Idol" champions have discouraging record sales. But with a new record label in the Universal Music Group, and Underwood's record as the top "Idol" earner, McCreery and his brand of country music could bring back those fortunes. Scotty said that he is looking forward to bring out the country music out there, and adding that he is hoping to perform at the Country Music Association Festival in Nashville next month.

Talking about his upcoming album, he stated that "I think it's going to be a great album. I have got to pick some good songs. That is what it is all about after the show --good songs. The fans have got me where I am right now, but now I have to get out the music they want to hear." "Country music is me, it is what I grew up with, it is what I do," he added. "I have done all the work on 'Idol' and now it is time for the real job to start."

And I, as Scotty fan, will always support him for whatever he will do in the future. A bright one sure shines upon this sweetheart. I only hope the best for him, and may God bless him and always be by his side.

What's With Friday the 13th?

The Philippines may be a predominantly Catholic country, but Pinoys have also remained superstitious. The ironic is that they put a lot of faith in luck, and the so-claeed supernatural forces that influenced it.
The superstitious crowd may be especially excited, this month as the 13th day of May, falls on a Friday. For the record, it's the only Friday the 13th of 2011.

What about Friday the 13th? And why does people be in fear?
The number 13 has been considered unlucky for centuries. Some said that this is due to the 13 people who attended the Last Supper, but ancient Babylon's Code of Hammurabi exclude the number 13 in its list of laws, so the superstition dates back to at least 1700 B.C.
Friday the 13th also highlights a tale in Norse mythology. The story has it that when Norse and Germanic tribes converted to Christianity, Frigga was banished and labeled as a witch. Thus, every Friday, the spiteful goddess met up with 11 witches, and the devil (That's 13!) and plotted evil deeds.
In any case, it is no surprise that a lot of Pinoys believe in Friday the 13th. Catholics believe that Jesus Christ died on a Friday and there were 13 people attending the Last Supper.

Cautionary Scenarios...
According to superstition, these are some of the BAD THINGS that may happen to you if you're not careful on Friday the 13th.
1. If you change your bed on Friday, you will have BAD DREAMS.
2. If you start a trip on Friday, you will SUFFER MISFORTUNE.
3. If you cut your fingernails on Friday, you will be SERIOUSLY ILL.
4. If you break a mirror on a Friday, you will get 7 YEARS OF BAD LUCK.

Pop Culture to Blame??
The fear of Friday the 13th has become so popular, there is actually a name for it, which is called as FRIGGATRISKAIDEKAPHOBIA. This phenomenon has spread widely and made people fear even the number 13 alone. Buildings and skyscrapers often skip the 13th floor, airlines often avoid the number 13 for airplane rows or arrival gates, and important events are carefully planned to avoid the feared number.
This unexplained phobia fueled the success of the Friday the 13th movie franchise. The scary slasher movie started in 1980 and continued to live up to now. It is ranked as one of the top movie franchises of all time. In fact, countless television shows, movies, songs, comic books, and video games have referenced and incorporated Jason, the hockey-masked maniac that made Friday the 13th a pop culture phenomenon.
Having made 12 Friday the 13th movies since 1980, producers of the successful franchise hope to add a 13th installment of the slasher series before 2015. That is being said, the crazy plot of that upcoming flick is probably the only thing we should fear.

Steps:
1. Have a life outside of Facebook.
Facebook is a way to keep others in your life, not a way to create a life, so go out and have one. Checking your facebook and keeping your profile up to date are one thing, but don't spend all your time on there.

2. Strike up a conversation.
Say something quirky, interesting and different. If you both like the same band, say "Hey I love ...! Do you have their new album?" Don't talk about how you were listening to their track when you accidentally dropped a wedding cake on your dog, or something unusual. Be truthful if you can, but there is a probably some link you can make with something weird that has happened to you and something on their profile.

3. Don't write overly long posts on their page.
If you have something personal to say, then you should really say it in person or via private message. Say something cool answering their question and ask them about themselves. Then, end with a compliment so they want to talk to you again.

4. If someone invites you to an event, don't respond YES or NO right away.
Go with "Maybe". Otherwise, you might seem too available/desperate.

5. Don't leave comments asking people about their status updates and relationships status changes unless you know them very well.
Even then, keep them short so they feel that they have some space. Yes, they are putting information out there, but that doesn't mean you have to leap on it.

6. Wait a few minutes before answering their first post, maybe 4 or 5.
Be nice and make them want to talk to you. Don't ignore them for 20 minutes, then reply with something saying you don't care, because they will be put off, just like you would be in their situation!

7. Think about posts before you write them, and wait 2 minutes between reading and posting the reply.

8. Always delete embarrassing application addition stories from your mini-feed.
Do this by pressing 'X' on the right of the story you think is embarrassing and then clicking 'Hide Story'.

9. Have a few applications that you like, but don't invite all your friends to do hundreds of quizzes and then clog up your profile with 17 different "Are you snap, crackle or pop?" questionnaires.

10. Don't send Bumper Stickers more than once a week.

11.  Change your status about once every 2 days, and clear it when you haven't done anything interesting recently, rather than "Kate has just eaten a sandwich".
Keep it vague, so all the mystery of your exotic life is not revealed immediately.


12. Change your profile picture roughly 2 weeks and pick carefully.
Get in a good mood before you take it, smile casually, and pose in an interesting position. Be sexy and confident without being a slut.

13. Don't make everything vulgar or about sex.
Relax and show you are a normal person they want to talk to.
14. 10% of what people mean comes from their choice of words.
Saying "I'm fine" can mean a thousand different things. Be clear, use occasional emoticons and don't stress over someone sending you 5 Xs instead of the usual 6.
15. Use line break, commas and periods (full stops) to help people understand what you're saying.
Also, use normal capitalization.

16. Use ... but never write "dot dot dot".
Vary the number of dots you use.

17. Don't use obscure references.

18.  Be your normal, relaxed, cool self!
Be relaxed, friendly and flirty if you need to be. Don't say anything that isn't true, and bad things you say about people will just come back to you.

19. Smileys are nice, as long as you don't use them in every post and don't get too crazy.

20. Don't always rush to agree with everything.
A bit of game is more fun than one person worshiping the other.

21. Smile in pictures, and shut your eyes.
It looks cute. Also, look down in a few pictures.

22. Don't use a photo that has you with all your friends, it should ideally be you alone, you might not be the only person on the planet with your name- if an old friend comes looking for you, this multi-persona profile pic will just confuse them.

23. A few simple things.
Express Yourself, Be Yourself, and Have Fun. Try to take cool quizzes and make sure all active friends of yours are on News Feed!!! That way if their friends come they'll say "Wow that sounds really cool, and then they add you."

24. When taking your profile picture, don't do push your lips out trying to do the "pouty" face.
It will just make you look stupid.

Christopher Bruce Hemsworth, born in 11th August 1983, is an Australian actor best known for playing the role of Kim Hyde in the Australian soap opera Home and Away and the Marvel Comics character Thor in Thor. Hemsworth will also portray Thor again in the upcoming film The Avengers.

Hemsworth was born in Christchurch, New Zealand to Leonie and Craig Hemsworth, and raised in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia from the age of 6. He later moved to Philip Island, south of Melbourne, with his family. His older brother Luke and younger brother Liam Hemsworth are also actors, and have had recurring roles as Nathan Tyson and Josh Taylor on Neighbours, respectively. Hemsworth attended Heathmont Secondary College in Melbourne.

In 2004, he auditioned for Home and Away, for the part of Robbie Hunter (played by Jason Smith), but failed to get the part. He was subsequently recalled for the part of Kim Hyde. He was successful in gaining the role of Kim Hyde and moved to Sydney to join the cast of Home and Away, appearing in 171 episodes of the series. He left the cast of Home and Away on 3 July 2007. He has received two Logie Award nominations and has won one for Most Popular New Talent on Home and Away back in 2005. Hemsworth portrayed James T.Kirk's father, George Kirk, in the opening scenes of J.J.Abrams' 2009 film Star Trek. He also played the character Kale in the thriller A Perfect Getaway the same year. Hemsworth will star in upcoming horror film The Cabin in the Woods executive produced by Joss Whedon and will portray Jed Eckert in the upcoming Red Dawn remake.

Hemsworth portrayed Thor in a film adaption of the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. Initially,his brother Liam reached the final four for the role, while Chris failed to make the shortlist, but he won the role after director Kenneth Branagh decided to re-evaluate earlier candidates. Chris Hemsworth received advice form his brother, saying "We're competitive, but in the best way." His mother helped him with his audition tape by playing Odin. Hemsworth is also scheduled to reprise his role as Thor in The Avengers, also based on a Marvel comic about a team of superheroes assembled to protect Earth, which is scheduled for release in 2012.

In the 2010 film, CA$h, Hemsworth played Sam Phelan, an economically troubled young man. CA$h marked Hemsworth's Hollywood debut, as it was the first film he shot upon his arrival in the United States. In behind-the-scenes interviews, the film's director Stephen Milburn Anderson stated that Hemsworth had only been in the United States for 6 weeks when he had auditioned for the role. Anderson said, "Here's a guy who is young, has the right look, is a very good actor and, let's face it, he's beautiful. So I say, we need to get this guy in. I was very impressed". On November 2010 The Hollywood Reporter named Hemsworth as one of the young male actors who are "pushing - or being pushed" into taking over Hollywood as the new "A-List". MTV Networks' NextMovie.com named him one of the 'Breakout Stars to Watch for in 2011'.





Hemsworth is married to actress Elsa Pataky, whom he met through their mutual representative in early 2010. They made their relationship public at a party held by LACMA in Los Angeles on 25 September 2010, and got married 3 months later. Hemsworth is also a father to 4-year-old Layla Rose, a product of one of his previous relationships. Hemsworth stated in a 2011 interview that he prefers to keep his daughter out of the limelight.

Make-Up Women Love But Men Hate

Neon lips, blue eyeshadow, shimmering glitter, and golden bronzers: This spring, some of the most dramatic looks we saw on the runways are making their way onto our faces. But not everything we dabble on pleases everyone. We had a hunch that some of our biggest beauty obsessions might be turn-off for guys. Prepare yourself: brutal honesty ensues. 


1. Heavy Foundation and Powders


 
The inch-thick powder is a huge turn-off, says Maxim senior editor Nick Leftley. "No guy wants to kiss a girl on the cheek and then find he's wearing foundation himself." A flaking face is one thing, but when your cheek becomes a palette of skin-tone colors, men pay attention, and not the good attention. "I'm always amazed to see women with two-tone faces, two apparently different shades of skin on the face, as if they apply makeup in the dark," says James Oliver Cury, the online editorial director at Maxim. "I'd rather see one greasy face than some sort of melanin imbalance. The nose should match the cheeks." 


2. "Bumps"
I never liked, or knew of any other guy who liked, the Gwen Stefani "bumpit" look, "says Henry Belanger, an editor at The Good Men Project. "Be wary of anything that makes your head look unnaturally large." 


3. Neon lipstick
Most of the fashion world agreed that electric pouts were a beauty "do" this season. Some men, however, beg to differ. "Orange lips are definitely a departure from what we're used to and not necessarily something a lot of guys I know really respond to just quite yet," say fashion blogger John Januzzi of Lucky and the fashion website, Textbook. 


4. Too-thin brows
"My pet peeve is overly plucked eyebrows," says David Swanson, Maxim's Features Editor. "I mean, really? It's basically an advertisement that naturally you're hairier than Robin Williams. If it looks natural, we'd never have to wonder." 


5.  Bold eye-shadow
"I don't understand the revival of bright blue eyeshadow," proposes Maxim's Cury. "Is it retro? Is it purposely over-the-top? To my eyes, it just looks tacky no matter how you wear it. "Lucky's Januzzi isn't as bothered by color as he is by application. "Smoky eyes -- when done right are great -- very sexy and attractive but when done wrong they look a total mess," he says. "Seek professional guidance before trying at home." 


6. Rosy Cheeks
"As far as make-up goes, I think rouge is for old ladies," adds Good Me Project's Belanger. "I think guys generally prefer the kind of make-up you don't notice is there, and since there's a lot that guys don't notice I think women have a lot of leeway." 


7. Two-toned Lips
Remember Kim Mathers? She was almost as famous for her lip liner issues as she was for being defamed by Eminem. According to our dude survey, the pucker problem was more serious. "When I see thin lines drawn around a pair of lips, I think: Is this part of some gang initiation rite?" says Cury. 


8. Glitter
"Women need to be judicious with it," says Cury. "It's like any good seasoning. You shouldn't shake it all over. It can overwhelm the main course." That being said, he's not opposed to a heavy sprinkle of cleavage glitter. Figures.
